About The Academic Workshop UK — ALevel Geography Tutor & Tuition Specialist
The Academic Workshop UK was built around one idea: A-Level Geography students deserve support from teachers who actually teach the subject, not generic tutors working outside their specialism. Every workshop, tutoring session and resource we offer comes from real classroom and examiner experience with the AQA and Edexcel specifications, covering both Human Geography and Physical Geography.

We Make Advanced Exam Technique Accessible
We exist to close the gap between “knowing the content” and “scoring the marks.” Most students who struggle at A-Level Geography aren’t short on knowledge — they’re short on exam technique. Our academic workshops UK-wide are built to fix exactly that, through small, focused groups, structured feedback and honest, teacher-led academic coaching.
Specialist, Not Generalist
We focus solely on A-Level Geography. That specialism means every resource, past paper and worked answer we use is directly relevant — not adapted from another subject.
Small Group, Not Mass Class
Our student workshops UK students attend are deliberately capped at small numbers, so every question gets answered and every weak point gets addressed.
Technique First
We treat exam technique, critical thinking and answer structuring as skills to be taught explicitly — the same way we’d teach any other set of study skills — rather than something students are expected to pick up on their own.
Our Teacher
Meet Luke
Luke is a fully qualified Geography teacher (QTS) with over eight years of experience teaching ALevel Geography since qualifying in 2018. He graduated from Cardiff University in 2017 with a BSc in Human Geography and brings strong experience across both the AQA and Edexcel exam boards, with a particular specialism in Human Geography.
Luke’s workshops are built around one core focus: helping students plan and structure high-level 20-mark answers with clarity and confidence. It’s a skill that shows up across every academic development workshop and 1-to-1 session he runs

Both — workshops run in person (e.g. at The Hive, Worcester) and online, depending on the session. Online tutoring is always via Google Meet.
Workshops are kept small, with no more than 12 students, so everyone gets individual attention.
We support AQA, Edexcel, and OCR students, with dedicated workshop content for both AQA and Edexcel specifications.
